Overview

Keyfactor, a leader in PKI and digital identity security, joined the Quantum Safe 360 Consortium to bring awareness to the urgent need for post-quantum cryptography (PQC). Tasked with writing a whitepaper to unify perspectives from all four industry leaders, IBM, Keyfactor, Quantinuum, Talos, we captured the Consortium’s shared vision for crypto agility and quantum readiness in a post-quantum world - on a tight deadline

Problem

A Lack of Strategic and Content Alignment Across Teams

The Quantum Safe 360 Consortium brought together stakeholders from across the cybersecurity ecosystem, each with a different perspective on the challenges and opportunities of PQC. Despite shared recognition of quantum risk, these voices lacked a cohesive message to help businesses act. The absence of a unified narrative left decision-makers unsure how to prioritize PQC within their digital trust strategies.

The Consortium needed a whitepaper that distilled complex topics—crypto agility, NIST algorithm timelines, and quantum threats—into an accessible yet authoritative document. The aim was not only educate, but also motivate stakeholders to act before quantum threats materialize.

Adding to the challenges, there was no established brand for the Consortium. Producing a structured and branded document that represented the interests of each industry leader as well as their joint approach to PQC required a new brand to bring the discrete identities together.

Tasked with a deadline of Feb 1 after only being briefed into the project before American Thanksgiving, while managing 4 different SMEs, brands, and legal approval processes, we set a timeline and agreed on the approval process, to keep production tight.

Solution

We started by collating insights from subject matter experts representing each Quantum Safe 360 Consortium member. These interviews formed the backbone of an outline that captured the consortium’s shared priorities and unique perspectives. Once the outline was refined and approved, we crafted a compelling, argumentative whitepaper that underscored the urgent need for crypto agility.

The final whitepaper balanced technical depth with actionable insights, articulating a clear call to prepare for PQC now—before standards fully finalize. It offered a holistic perspective that was both grounded in expert consensus and tailored to resonate with technical and business leaders.

Results

A unified voice for quantum safety

The whitepaper provided the Quantum Safe 360 Consortium with a cohesive narrative that established them as a leading voice in the PQC transition. It has since served as an educational resource and rallying point for stakeholders navigating quantum risk and the path to crypto agility.
